Abstract
Motor oil circulation beroperasi secara kontinyu ketika unit sedang dioperasikan. Sedangkan motor oil lifter apabila dalam kondisi normal, pengoperasian oil lifter hanya saat kondisi unit start atau unit stop. Hal tersebut dikarenakan ketika putaran unit mencapai kecepatan putar nominal. Terjadi permasalahan di PLTA Kracak dimana gaya gesek pada thrust bearing tersebut cukup tinggi meskipun unit sudah mencapai kecepatan nominal. Gaya gesek tersebut menyebabkan kenaikan pada temperature thrust bearing. Untuk mengurangi gesekan yang terjadi, pompa oil lifter dioperasikan secara kontinyu. Sehingga gesekan yang terjadi akan berkurang. Namun, beroperasinya pompa oil lifter secara kontinyu tersebut secara langsung berdampak pada peningkatan nilai PS (Pemakaian Sendiri) PLTA Kracak. Ditambah lagi, faktor daya (power factor) dari eksisting motor baik motor oil circulation dan motor oil lifter tersebut nilainya tidak optimal. Pada motor oil lifter untuk nilai cos phi yaitu sebesar 0,73 dan nilai cosphi pada motor oil circulation yaitu sebesar 0,69 yang mana nilai itu merupakan nilai yang rendah. Perbaikan ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan nilai PS pada PLTA Kracak dengan nilai yang baik atau nilai yang optima. Perbaikan ini dilakukan dengan penambahan kapasitor yang dikonfigurasi delta sehingga beban induktif dari motor menjadi berkurang.
The oil circulation motor operates continuously while the unit is operating. Meanwhile, if the motor oil lifter is in normal condition, the operation of the oil lifter is only when the unit starts or unit stops. This is because when the unit rotation reaches the nominal rotating speed. There was a problem at the Kracak hydropower plant where the frictional force on the thrust bearing was quite high even though the unit had reached the nominal speed. The frictional force causes an increase in the temperature of the thrust bearing. To reduce the friction that occurs, the oil lifter pump is operated continuously. So the friction that occurs will be reduced. However, the continuous operation of the oil lifter pump has a direct impact on increasing the PS value (Self-Use) of the Kracak Hydroelectric Power Plant. In addition, the power factor of the existing motor, both motor oil circulation and motor oil lifter, is not optimal. In the motor oil lifter, the cos phi value is 0.73 and the cosphi value for the motor oil circulation is 0.69, which is a low value. This improvement is carried out to get the PS value at the Kracak hydropower plant with a good value or an optimal value. This improvement is carried out by adding a delta-configured capacitor so that the inductive load of the motor is reduced.
