Permintaan akan tenaga listrik terus meningkat tiap waktunya, hal ini dikarenakan jumlah pelanggan yang terus bertambah tiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu, keandalan sistem distribusi tenaga listrik juga akan menjadi hal yang utama untuk diperhatikan. Indeks yang menunjukan keandalan sistem distribusi adalah SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) dan SAIFI (System Average interuption Frequency Index). Semakin kecil nilai dari kedua indeks tersebut, maka sistem semakin handal, yang berarti efisiensinya tinggi. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas tentang kajian SAIDI dan SAIFI serta energi tak terjual PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Lenteng Agung. Indeks keandalan SAIDI tahun 2020 diperoleh sebesar 5,556 jam/pelanggan/tahun dan pada tahun 2021 diperoleh sebesar 4,3258 jam/pelanggan/tahun. Indeks keandalan SAIFI tahun 2020 diperoleh sebesar 0,0816 kali/pelanggan/tahun dan pada tahun 2021 diperoleh sebesar 0,039 kali/pelanggan/tahun. Berdasarkan standar SPLN 68-2 : 1986, indeks keandalan SAIDI dan SAIFI tahun 2020 dan tahun 2021 yang diperoleh telah memenuhi standar dan dikategorikan andal. Besarnya nilai energi tak terjual tahun 2020 diperoleh sebesar 0,1169 GWh dan pada tahun 2021 diperoleh sebesar 0,0086 GWh. Therefore, the reliability of the electric power distribution system will also be a major concern.
