Abstract
This research analyzes the effects of relocating the Surokalling-Surokalling Recloser on the Parang banoa Feeder on SAIDI and SAIFI reliability indices in the South Makassar UP3 region. Using the implemented through ETAP software, this study evaluates how recloser relocation can optimize the electrical distribution network protection system. The analysis results show that changing the recloser location contributes significantly to decreasing SAIDI and SAIFI indices, indicating improved distribution system reliability. This research provides strategic recommendations for optimal placement of protection equipment to minimize service disruptions and enhance electrical service quality in the region
