Load imbalance in distribution transformers can lead to increased current, power losses, and reduced distribution efficiency. This study aims to analyze and reduce neutral current though load balancing at distribution transformer JC 0097,ULP Pasir Panjang. The method used includes collecting three phase current data from the field, perfoming manual calculations of neutral current and power loss,and presenting data in graphical form. Load balancing was perfomed manually by redistributing loads among phases and was compared to a theoretical automatic approach. The results show that prior to balancing, the neutral current reached 27.37 A. After balancing, the neutral current
dropped to 0 A, indicating a significant improvement in phase balance. This reduction also led to better energy efficiency and potential cost savings. The study concludes that a simple manual load balancing method can provide optimal result if supported by accurate data and proper analysis.
