Abstract
Liki Village in Sarmi Regency, Papua Province is one of the remote coastal areas that has not yet fully received electricity supply from the PLN grid. The local community, the majority of whom work as fishermen, still rely on diesel generators as their main source of electricity, which has high operational costs and dependence on fossil fuels. This study aims to design, analyze, and evaluate a 600 Wh Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Plant (PLTHBS) system as an alternative solution to meet the electricity needs of households, fishing boats, and public street lighting (PJU). The research methods used include literature studies, data collection through observation and interviews in Liki Village, and testing of tool prototypes at the IT-PLN Campus. The results show that the PLTHBS system is able to supply electricity with an average daily consumption of fishermen's houses ranging from 0.97 kWh to 3.38 kWh, and can support the operation of lights on three fishing boats with power requirements between 0.48 and 0.72 kWh and
four PJU points with a power of 0.8 kWh. The implementation of public street lighting was carried out in two design scenarios, and the evaluation results showed that scenario 2 was superior because it had lower power losses compared to scenario 1. This was due to the efficiency of cable length and a more optimal configuration of energy distribution lines. The implementation of this system not only reduced operational costs and carbon emissions, but also increased access to reliable and sustainable energy for coastal communities. PLTHBS has proven to be an appropriate and environmentally friendly solution in realizing the electrification of remote areas with adequate solar and wind energy potential.
