Abstract

Synchronous motors are one type of electric motor that are widely used in applications requiring high speed stability and high precision. Unlike induction motors, synchronous motors operate at a constant speed according to the frequency of their power source. One of the commonly used methods for controlling the speed of a synchronous motor is the use of an inverter. The inverter functions to change the frequency and voltage of the electrical power supplied to the motor, thereby allowing for more flexible speed control. In this research, a control system for a 3-phase Synchronous motor will be designed and built with speed control using the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Inverter method. This system will be developed to ensure that the motor can operate with optimal performance, high efficiency, and the ability to adjust speed according to industrial application needs.
