The level of electricity consumption in educational buildings presents a significant challenge in efforts toward energy efficiency and conservation. This study was conducted at Building A of the Institut TEKNOLOGI PLN (ITPLN), aiming to analyze energy consumption patterns, evaluate the efficiency of lighting and air conditioning systems, and identify energy-saving opportunities through an energy audit. The methodology involved collecting historical energy consumption data and calculating the Energy Consumption Intensity (ECI). The audit results indicate that the building's ECI stands at 75.77 kWh/m²/year, below the "Very Efficient" category threshold defined by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation No. 3 of 2025 (99 kWh/m²/year). However, room-by-room auditing revealed inefficiencies, notably the excessive use of fluorescent lamps on the 11th floor and oversized air conditioning units in several rooms. Key recommendations included replacing conventional lighting with LED lamps adhering to SNI 6197:2020 standards, adjusting and rescheduling cooling system capacity, optimizing electrical load distribution across phases, and implementing IoT technology for real-time monitoring. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of an energy awareness program to promote sustainable energy-saving behavior. The implementation of these strategies is projected to reduce the ECI to 60.45 kWh/m²/year, resulting in significant energy savings and extending the lifespan of electrical infrastructure. This study serves as a reference for energy management in other educational buildings and supports the implementation of an Energy Management System based on ISO 50001:2018 standards for sustainable and environmentally friendly operations.
