Abstract

The Rinra Feeder, managed by PT PLN (Persero) ULP Mattoanging, has experienced a relatively high disturbance frequency of over 4 times/customer/year and outage durations exceeding 150 minutes/customer/year, significantly impacting customers during the 2022–2024 period. This study aims to analyze the network reliability level through the calculation of SAIDI, SAIFI, and ENS, as well as to evaluate potential improvements using network modeling in PSS SINCAL software. The data used consist of historical outage records over the past three years, with manual calculations and simulations conducted to identify disturbance patterns, vulnerable points, and recommendations for
additional protection equipment. The results show that in 2023, the SAIDI value was 1,600 minutes/customer/year, SAIFI was 16.7 times/customer/year, and ENS was 8.4 kWh/year, which decreased in 2024 to a SAIDI of 80.23 minutes/customer/year, SAIFI of 12.3 times/customer/year, and ENS of 5.7 kWh/year, although these figures still do not meet the SPLN standards. The conclusion of this study is that strategies such as adding sectionalizers and refurbishing equipment are necessary to reduce SAIDI and SAIFI to meet the standards and improve the reliability of electricity distribution on the Rinra Feeder.
