Abstract
The Laksana Warehousing Area in Pakuhaji District, Tangerang Regency, has experienced a surge in electricity demand due to rapid industrial growth, causing the Winston feeder to face an overload condition with 20 occurrences of current exceeding 200 A before load transfer was implemented. This condition resulted in significant voltage drops and high power losses, potentially reducing supply reliability. This study aims to analyze the loading condition, voltage drop, and power losses on the Winston feeder before and after load transfer, as well as to evaluate the impact of increasing conductor cross-sectional area from 240 mm² to 300 mm². The research method employs a quantitative approach using load flow simulations on PSS Sincal 21.5 software, validated through manual calculations. This approach was chosen because all technical parameters can be measured, calculated, and numerically compared, thus producing objective, measurable, and verifiable conclusions. The results show that before load transfer, the end voltage was only 17.71 kV (88.54% of nominal) with power losses of 1,443.70 kW. After load transfer to the Galant feeder, the voltage increased to 19.66 kV (98.31%) and losses decreased to 49.886 kW. Conductor uprating produced an end voltage of 18.08 kV (90.32%) with power losses of 1,402.27 kW, while the new Galant feeder reached 18.99 kV (94.33%) with power losses of 418.983 kW. These findings confirm that load transfer is an effective short-term solution, while combining it with conductor uprating can serve as a long-term strategy to improve efficiency and reliability of power distribution in industrial areas.
