Abstract

An increase in panel surface temperature can reduce output voltage and cause a significant decrease in electrical power. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of temperature increase on solar panel output power. The test was conducted by comparing systems that use cooling and those without cooling. The experimental method involved direct measurements of voltage, current, power, and panel temperature under varying weather conditions, including sunny, cloudy, overcast, and rainy conditions. The results show that cooling maintains the panel temperature within the range of 33–55 °C and prevents spikes above 63 °C, which commonly occur without cooling. Quantitatively, the average power increased from 38.80 W (without cooling) to 42.63 W (with cooling), while the peak power reached 89.51 W with the cooling system. This improvement was accompanied by a decrease in average panel temperature of approximately 4–5 °C when the system was active. It can be concluded that temperature control through a combination of active–passive cooling systems activated automatically effectively maintains the panel within a more advantageous operating temperature range, resulting in higher and more stable power output
