Abstract

Main Water Supply Pump adalah komponen utama untuk sistem pendingin pada PLTA Saguling. MWSP merupakan pompa yang berfungsi untuk memompakan air dari draft tube dan mengalirkannya ke sistem pendingin yang terdiri dari, Lower Thrust Bearing, Upper Guide Bearing Generator, Air Cooler Generator, Turbin Guide Bearing. Apabila kinerja Main Water Supply Pump mengalami gangguan pada saat unit beroperasi, maka suplai air ke sistem pendingin mengalami penurunan kuantitas hal ini akan mengakibatkan kerusakan pada peralatan, terutama pada sistem bantalan (bearing). Jika hal ini berlanjut maka dapat menyebabkan unit mengalami trip. Air Cooler Generator adalah peralatan yang berfungsi sebagai pendingin udara generator dengan menggunakan sirkulasi air sebagai fluida pendingin. Air Cooler Generator memanfaatkan air yang telah di pompakan MWSP (Main Water Supply Pump). Kemudian, air yang digunakan setelah pendinginan akan disalurkan kembali melalui sistem pemipaan menuju draft tube yang akhirnya keluar menuju tail race. Pengoperasian Main Water Supply Pump sangat diperlukan untuk mensuplai air ke sistem pendingin khusus nya pada Air Cooler Generator, sehingga pendinginan pada sistem bantalan (bearing) dapat bekerja secara optimal. Dengan demikian keandalan Main Water Supply Pump sangat membutuhkan perawatan agar dapat berfungsi secara Efektif dan Efisien.

The Main Water Supply Pump is the main component for the cooling system in the Saguling PLTA. MWSP is a pump that serves to pump water from the draft tube and drain it into the cooling system consisting of, Lower Thrust Bearings, Upper Guide Bearing Generators, Air Cooler Generators, Turbine Guide Bearings. If the performance of the Main Water Supply Pump experiences a disturbance when the unit is operating, the supply of water to the cooling system decreases in quantity, this will cause damage to the equipment, especially in the bearing system. If this continues, it can cause the unit to trip. Air Cooler Generator is equipment that functions as a generator air conditioner by using circulating water as a cooling fluid. Air Cooler Generator utilizes water that has been pumped by MWSP (Main Water Supply Pump). Then, the water used after cooling will be channeled back through the piping system to the draft tube which finally exits towards the tail race. The operation of the Main Water Supply Pump is very necessary to supply water to its special cooling system in the Air Cooler Generator, so that cooling in the bearing system can work optimally. Thus the reliability of the Main Water Supply Pump is in desperate need of care in order to function effectively and efficiently.
