Pompa Fuel Oil adalah pompa yang digunakan untuk memback up Mill yang digunakan untuk menginjeksi serbuk batu bara yang sudah dihancurkan sebelumnya untuk bahan bakar Boiler dan apabila Mill ini mengalami gangguan atau trip diharapkan maka dapat dijaga temperatur pada Boiler dengan bantuan fuel oil pump yang akan menginjeksikan HSD atau high speed diesel, fungsi HSD sendiri pada PLTU batubara adalah untuk bahan bakar penyala awal dan pembakar awal. Fuel oil pump sendiri digunakan untuk Boiler saat terjadi 3 hal yakni : start up unit, gangguan unit dan stop unit oleh karena itu gejala-gejala yang terjadi pada fuel oil pump seperti vibrasi dapat diatasi karena hal ini apabila dibiarkan akan mengakitbatkan pada peralatan-peralatan yang ikut mengalami gangguan seperti pada effeck domino serta operasi kemungkinan tidak tercapai, apabila diteruskan atau dibiarkan maka Fuel Oil Pump dikhawatirkan akan menurunkan jumlah HSD yang disuplai dan apabila 3 hal untuk membackup Mill terganggu maka pembakaran pada Boiler terganggu pula.
