Abstract
Pada zaman modern ini, pembangunan konstruksi gedung di kota-kota besar berkembang dengan begitu pesat. Hal ini mengakibatkan kebutuhan akan bahan bangunan seperti kerikil, pasir, serta semen akan meningkat pula. Bangunan gedung terdiri dari atap, dinding, dan lantai. material yang biasa digunakan dalam pembuatan dinding yaitu bata beton, batu bata, dan batako. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan abu sisa pembakaran sampah dan fly ash sebagai inovasi material campuran pembuatan batako pejal dan sebagai upaya pemanfaatan limbah. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua tahap yaitu pengujian material dan pembuatan benda uji dengan variasi campuran batako yaitu 0% ( batako normal), 10% fly ash, 5% abu + 10% fly ash, 10% abu + 10% fly ash, 15% abu + 10% fly ash yang dilakukan pengujian kuat tekan dan penyerapan air pada umur 7 hari, 14 hari dan 28 hari. Pada umur 28 hari, diperoleh nilai kuat tekan terbesar terdapat pada variasi campuran 10% fly ash yaitu sebesar 77,50 kg/cm² dan masuk pada tingkat mutu II dengan resapan air sebesar 8,99%. Nilai kuat tekan terendah terdapat pada variasi campuran 15% Abu + 10% fly ash sebesar 37,92 kg/cm2 dan masuk pada tingkat mutu IV dengan resapan air sebesar 11,21%.

The building consists of roofs, walls, and floors. material commonly used in the manufacture of walls of concrete brick, brick, and brick. This research was conducted by using residual ash of garbage burning and fly ash as innovation of mixed material of solid brick making and as effort of waste utilization. In this research, it is done with two stages: material testing and making of test specimens with mixed cake mix of 0% (normal brick), 10% fly ash, 5% ash + 10% fly ash, 10% ash + 10% fly ash, 15 % ash + 10% fly ash which conducted compressive strength test and water absorption at 7 days, 14 days and 28 days. At the age of 28 days, the highest compressive strength was found in the variation of 10% fly ash mixture of 77.50 kg / cm ² and entered the quality level II with water absorption of 8.99%, while the lowest compressive strength was found in mixed variation 15% ash + 10% fly ash was 37.92 kg / cm2 and entered the quality level II with 11.21% water absorption.
