Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengklasifikasikan rekomendasi program studi untuk calon mahasiswa baru berdasarkan tes psikologi di Institut Teknologi PLN.
Pengimplementasian metode K-Nearest Neighbor digunakan sebagai metode klasifikasi dengan mencari jarak terdekat antara data yang akan dievaluasi dengan K tetangga (neighbor) terdekatnya dalam data pelatihan. Hasilnya adalah sistem dapat merekomendasikan program studi yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat serta atribut yang telah ditentukan. Hasil implementasi algoritma K-NN mendapatkan hasil akurasi 72 %. Dimana tingkat akurasi ini diperoleh dari nilai K=3

The study is done to classify program recommendations study for a candidate new students based on psychology tests in pln institute of technology. The implementation method k-nearest neighbor used as the classification methods by seeking the nearest distance of the data will be evaluated with k neighbors its closest in the data training.
