Abstract
his study examines technical losses in electricity distribution networks using ETAPsimulation and network reconfiguration methods. Extension PRY01 was recorded as the
most efficient with an average load of 6.46 MW, while KKR02 had the lowest load of0.7 MW. Energy losses are affected by losses in transmission, load imbalance, and the quality of distribution equipment. Reduction efforts are made through infrastructure improvements, load regulation, and periodic monitoring. Simulation results show that the GBR04 (PRY01) - SBU01 load maneuver reduces technical losses from 3.17% to 3.01%, reduces energy losses by 11,977 kWh/month, and increases annual profits by Rp.201,206,751. The factors of network length, conductor type, current, and load were shown to affect technical losses. Network reconfiguration was able to reduce technical losses from 9.09% to 3.85% through load balancing, switch optimization, and distribution line efficiency. These results prove that ETAP simulation is effective in improving electricity distribution efficiency with an optimal network configuration strategy. This research makes an important contribution to the planning and management of electricity distribution networks to make them more efficient and economical.
