Image processing is one type of technology to solve problems regarding image resolution. Difficult font type in text images becomes a problem which is the reason why image processing is needed. At this time an application for recognizing font types in-text images is needed to make it easier to impersonate fonts. Template Matching Correlation is a technique in digital image processing to find small parts of an image that matches a template image (reference) were matching this image will produce a high similarity/acquisition by the image that is recognized as one of the image templates. In this case, the Matching Correlation Template will be used to find the resemblance / approve of the text image to do the imitation font done on the text image. Where this research can test Arial, Calibri, and Times New Roman fonts with the letters A to Z.

Image processing merupakan salah satu jenis teknologi untuk menyelesaikan masalah mengenai pemrosesan gambar. Sulitnya mengenali jenis font pada citra teks menjadi sebuah permasalahan yang menjadi alasan utama mengapa image processing ini dibutuhkan. Saat ini dibutuhkannya aplikasi pengenalan jenis font pada citra teks untuk memudahkan dalam peniruan font. Template Matching Correlation adalah teknik dalam pengolahan citra digital untuk menemukan bagian-bagian kecil dari suatu gambar yang cocok dengan template gambar (acuan) dimana pencocokan citra ini akan menghasilkan kemiripan / kesamaan yang tinggi menentukan suatu citra dikenali sebagai salah satu dari citra template. Dalam hal ini, Template Matching Correlation akan digunakan untuk menemukan kemiripan / kesamaan pada citra teks untuk dilakukan peniruan font yang terdapat pada citra teks tersebut. Dimana penelitian ini dapat mengenali font Arial, Calibri, dan Times New Roman dengan baik pada huruf A sampai dengan huruf Z.
