Sistem Rekomendasi adalah sistem pendukung yang mempermudah user untuk mencari suatu informasi, produk dan jasa, serta membantu pengguna memilih konten atau item yang sesuai di mana berada di dalam berbagai aplikasi yang memiliki jumlah data yang banyak. Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Musi Rawas masih belum bisa merealisasikan Permendiknas Nomor 28 Tahun 2010 mengenai perpanjangan masa jabatan dikarenakan kurangnya SDM dan keadaan daerah yang berdeda-beda, hal itu menyebabkan dalam penentuan masa jabatan kepala sekolah oleh Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Musi Rawas dan pengawas sekolah mengalami kesulitan baik pada proses pengolahan data maupun seleksi serta memakan waktu yang lama yaitu satu bulan, sehingga diperlukannya sistem rekomendasi untuk membantu Dinas Pendidikan dalam memproses masa jabatan kepala sekolah akan diperpanjang atau tidak. Penelitan ini mengimplementasikan metode Algoritma C4.5 ke dalam sistem rekomendasi untuk merekomendasi masa jabatan kepala sekolah apakah diperpanjang atau tidak. Hasil akurasi yang diperoleh dalam implementasi metode ini adalah 83.33% dari hasil analisa 90 data training yang menghasilkan 15 rule pohon keputusan kemudian diuji menggunakan data testing sebanyak 18 data. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa algoritma C4.5 dapat digunaka sebagai sistem rekomendasi perpanjangan masa jabatan kepala sekolah.

Recommendation system is a support system that makes it easier for users to find information, products, and services, and helps users choose the appropriate content or items in various applications that have a large amount of data. The Education Office of Musi Rawas Regency has still not been able to realize Permendiknas Number 28 of 2010 regarding the extension of the term of office due to the lack of human resources and different regional conditions, this causes the determination of the term of office of the principal by the Education Office of Musi Rawas Regency and school supervisors to experience difficulties both in terms of the process of data processing and selection and takes a long time, namely one month, so that a recommendation system is needed to assist the Education Office in processing the principal's term of office will be extended or not. This research implements the C4.5 Algorithm method into the recommendation system to recommend the principal's term of office whether it is extended or not. The accuracy results obtained in the implementation of this method are 83.33% from the analysis of 90 training data which produces 15 decision tree rules and then tested using 18 data testing data. This shows that the C4.5 algorithm can be used as a recommendation system for the extension of the principal's term of office.
