Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem pemantauan suhu dan kelembaban udara berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan sensor DHT22 yang dapat diakses secara real time. Sistem ini dirancang untuk memberikan informasi akurat mengenai kondisi lingkungan kamar kos, tempat tinggal sementara pelajar atau pekerja. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kenyamanan termal yang mempengaruhi kualitas tidur dan produktivitas penghuni kamar kos. Alat tersebut didesain dapat diakses melalui smartphone sehingga memungkinkan penghuni memantau dan mengatur kondisi suhu dan kelembapan secara mandiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pemantauan ini efektif membantu penghuni menjaga kenyamanan termal di kamarnya. Teknologi IoT memungkinkan integrasi yang mudah antara sensor dan platform pemantauan, serta mendukung pengembangan perangkat yang lebih efisien dan ramah pengguna. Penerapan sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan dan kesehatan penghuni kos, serta berkontribusi aktif dalam pengembangan solusi pemantauan lingkungan berbasis IoT.

The objective of this study is to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based temperature and humidity monitoring system using the DHT22 sensor, which can be accessed in real-time. The system is designed to provide accurate information regarding the environmental conditions of boarding rooms, which serve as temporary living spaces for students or workers. This research focuses on thermal comfort, which affects the quality of sleep and productivity of boarding room occupants. The device is designed to be accessible via smartphones, enabling occupants to monitor and independently regulate temperature and humidity conditions. The study's results indicate that this monitoring system effectively assists occupants in maintaining thermal comfort in their rooms. IoT technology allows for easy integration between sensors and monitoring platforms and supports the development of more efficient and user-friendly devices. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the comfort and health of boarding house residents and actively contribute to the development of IoT-based environmental monitoring solutions.
