Abstract

The use of renewable energy in power plant are starting to be developed and continually added capacity in parallel with the existing diesel. Lately, the combination of solar power photovoltaic (PV) and diesel generator hybrid is the most widely installed. Another combination is with wind turbine which relatively limited in some locations. The combination of renewable energy and the existing diesel power system is related with hybrid configuration due to the operating system. Configuration of imprecise plant combination will cause operating system becomes not optimal. Therefore the further study to evaluate the existing configuration and provide the results of an appropriate configuration for the operation of the hybrid system. The results obtained are the configuration dc/ac on a hybrid system that is connected to the network, more appropriate applied to small-scale hybrid power systems. AC Configuration is more suitable applied to the hybrid system which has a medium to large capacity by optimizing the power converter. The configuration of hybrid systems, PV systems can be upgraded with a PV multiarray reliability. In hybrid system ac bus configuration, the reliability of centralized inverter PV system can be enhanced by the parallel inverter.
