Sistem absensi siswa merupakan aspek krusial dalam manajemen pendidikan yang memastikan kehadiran dan partisipasi siswa di sekolah.Di SMAN1 Darul Imarah proses pengambilan absensi masih terbilang kuno yaitu dengan cara memanggil siswa satu persatu.Hal tersebut tentu saja tidak efesien karena bisa terjadinya kesalahan pada saat input data absensi.Oleh sebab itu studi ini mengimplementasikan QR Code sebagai metode identifikasi siswa dan memanfaatkan metode algoritma Vigenère Cipher untuk enkripsi data yang disisipkan ke dalam QR Code. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan proses absensi dengan memastikan keakuratan identifikasi siswa dan keamanan data. Selain itu, penerapan QR Code juga memudahkan proses absensi dengan memungkinkan siswa untuk melakukan scan kode QR melalui perangkat mobile mereka, yang secara otomatis memasukkan informasi data absensi mereka ke dalam sistem.Penelitian ini mencakup analisis, perancangan, dan implementasi dari sistem tersebut, serta evaluasi terhadap efektivitas dan keamanannya.Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi proses absensi di SMAN1 Darul Imarah serta menjadi referensi bagi institusi pendidikan lainnya dalam penerapan teknologi QR Code dan algoritma Vigenère Cipher dalam sistem absensi berbasis web.

The student attendance system is a crucial aspect in education management that ensures student attendance and participation at school. At SMAN 1 Darul Imarah the process of taking attendance is still considered old-fashioned, namely by manual attendance. This is of course inefficient because conditions such as absenteeism can occur. Therefore, this research implements QR Code as a student identification method and utilizes the Vigenère Cipher algorithm method to encrypt data inserted into the QR code. This research aims to optimize the attendance process with student data accuracy and data security. Apart from that, the application of the QR Code also makes the attendance process easier by allowing students to scan the QR code via their mobile devices, which automatically enters their attendance data information into the system. This research includes analysis, design and implementation of the system, as well as evaluation on its effectiveness and safety. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a positive contribution in increasing the efficiency of the attendance process at SMAN1 Darul Imarah and become a reference for other educational institutions in implementing QR Code technology and the Vigenère Cipher algorithm in web-based attendance systems.
