Jumlah stok barang menduduki tugas utama dalam sebuah usaha, ditambah lagi keadaan ekonomi saat ini membuat persaingan bisnis menjadi semakin ketat yang menuntut para perusahaan untuk melakukan perbaikan sistem agar terpenuhinya kebutuhan pasar. CV. Skypack Indonesia sendiri belum memiliki sistem informasi terkait forecasting stok barang yang mengakibatkan sulitnya mengetahui jumlah stok barang pada periode selanjutnya yang berpotensi menjadi kerugian. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan stok barang menggunakan metode Double Exponential Smoothing yang dapat menyajikan hasil forecasting dari proses perhitungan yang telah dilakukan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi CV. Skypack Indonesia untuk mengetahui kebutuhan stok barang dan tren pada periode selanjutnya dengan pengujian menggunakan Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) mendapatkan hasil terkecil 31,15 dan terbesar 66,55, dan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) mendapatkan hasil terkecil 5,06 % dan terbesar 16,14 %.

The number of stock items have the main task in a business, in the current economic situation makes business competition tougher which requires companies to make system improvements to meet market needs. CV. Skypack Indonesia itself does not have an information system related to stock forecasting which makes it difficult to know the amount of stock in the next period that has the potential to become a loss. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the need for stock items using the Double Exponential Smoothing method which can present forecasting results from the calculation process that has been carried out which can be used as a CV. Skypack Indonesia recommendation to find out the stock needs and trends in the next period by testing using the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) getting the smallest results 31.15 and the largest 66.55, and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) getting the smallest results of 5.06% and the largest 16.14%.
