Abstract
Dalam operasi Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU), High Pressure Heater (HPH) berperan sebagai penukar panas yang memanfaatkan uap ekstraksi. PLTU JABAR 2 Pelabuhan Ratu telah beroperasi sejak tahun 2013, hal ini menimbulkan berbagai masalah seperti penumpukan endapan/kotoran yang dapat menyumbat aliran fluida dalam tube, kebocoran tube yang memerlukan plugging, keausan baffle, dan masalah lain yang dapat menurunkan efektivitasnya. Kegiatan overhaul dapat mempengaruhi kinerja HPH, untuk membuktikannya ada beberapa metode matematis yang digunakan antara lain :
TTD (Terminal Temperaure Difference), DCAT (Drain Cooler Approach Temperature), TR (Temperature Rise), LMTD (Logaritmic Mean Temperature Difference), dan efektivitas HPH. Data parameter yang diperlukan meliputi suhu, tekanan, entalpi, dan laju aliran, sehingga diperoleh hasil tiap beban mengalami fluktuasi efektivitas zona
perpindahan panasnya. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan efektivitas pada zona desuperheating dan condensing pada beban 217 MW dan 331 MW, namun penurunan pada beban 266 MW. Di zona Subcooling, efektivitas menurun pada semua beban.
Kegiatan overhaul yang dilakukan adalah plugging pada 24 tube dari total 2668 tube, dengan presentase plugging sebesar 0,9%, sehingga presentase tube yang aktif adalah
99,1% dan juga kegiatan pembersihan tube sehingga berdampak pada nilai efektivitas performa dari HPH, plugging menyebabkan luas area perpindahan panas pada HPH berkurang.

Ratu has been in operation since 2013, which has caused various issues such as the accumulation of deposits/dirt that can clog fluid flow in tubes, tube leaks requiring
plugging, baffle erosion, and other issues that can reduce its effectiveness. Overhaul activities can affect the performance of HPH, and to prove this, several mathematical
methods are used including: TTD (Terminal Temperature Difference), DCAT (Drain Cooler Approach Temperature), TR (Temperature Rise), LMTD (Logarithmic Mean Temperature Difference), and HPH effectiveness. The required data parameters include temperature, pressure, enthalpy, and flow rate, resulting in fluctuating effectiveness in
heat transfer zones for each load. The results show an increase in effectiveness in the desuperheating and condensing zones for loads of 217 MW and 331 MW, but a decrease for the 266 MW load. In the Subcooling zone, effectiveness decreases for all loads. Overhaul activities include plugging 24 tubes out of a total of 2668 tubes, with a plugging percentage of 0.9%, making the active tube percentage 99.1%, and tube cleaning activities also impact the performance effectiveness of HPH, as plugging reduces the heat transfer area in the HPH.
