Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat telah mendorong berbagai inovasi, termasuk di bidang pendidikan. Salah satu inovasi tersebut adalah peralihan dari sistem kehadiran siswa manual ke sistem digital. SDS Impian Bunda hingga kini masih menggunakan sistem kehadiran konvensional yang dalam hal pencatatan dan rekapitulasi kehadiran siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan sistem kehadiran siswa berbasis website yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi face recognition menggunakan layanan NEO Face Recognition API (Application Programming Interface) dari Biznet GioCloud. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman JavaScript serta menerapkan model pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall. Untuk mendukung perancangan sistem, digunakan pendekatan Unified Modeling Language (UML) dalam menggambarkan alur proses dan struktur sistem. Waterfall dipilih karena pendekatannya yang sistematis dan berurutan dalam setiap tahap pengembangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa sistem pencatatan kehadiran digital yang mampu mendeteksi dan mengenali wajah siswa secara otomatis sebagai dasar pencatatan kehadiran. Hasil pengujian Black Box menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fitur sistem berjalan sesuai dengan fungsinya tanpa ditemukan error, yang menandakan bahwa sistem telah memenuhi kebutuhan fungsionalnya. Sementara itu, hasil UAT menunjukkan rata-rata tingkat penerimaan sebesar 88,3%, yang termasuk dalam kategori 'Sangat Diterima', menandakan sistem mudah digunakan dan diterima dengan baik. Analisis efisiensi waktu juga menunjukkan metode manual yang membutuhkan 57 menit 18 detik dapat dipangkas menjadi 2 menit 37 detik dengan sistem digital. Dengan demikian, sistem ini terbukti memberikan solusi yang efisien dan modern dalam pencatatan serta pelaporan kehadiran siswa di SDS Impian Bunda.
The rapid development of technology has driven various innovations, including in the field of education. One such innovation is the transition from a manual student attendance system to a digital-based system. SDS Impian Bunda still relies on a conventional attendance system, which is time-consuming and prone to errors in recording and summarizing student attendance. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web based student attendance system integrated with face recognition technology using the NEO Face Recognition API (Application Programming Interface) from Biznet GioCloud. The system was developed using the JavaScript programming language and the Waterfall software development model. Unified Modeling Language (UML) was applied to illustrate the system processes and structure, while the Waterfall model was chosen for its systematic and sequential approach in each development stage. The results of this study produced a digital attendance recording system capable of automatically detecting and recognizing student faces as the basis for attendance logging. Black Box testing demonstrated that all system features functioned properly without errors, indicating that the system met its functional requirements. Meanwhile, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving 16 respondents, including teachers, administrative staff, and the principal, achieved an average acceptance rate of 88.3%, categorized as “Highly Accepted,” showing that the system is user-friendly and well received. Furthermore, time efficiency analysis revealed that the manual method, which took approximately 57 minutes and 18 seconds, could be reduced to only 2 minutes and 37 seconds using the digital system. Thus, the system provides an efficient, accurate, and modern solution for recording and reporting student attendance at SDS Impian Bunda.
