Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi bunyi desis akibat fenomena tegangan tinggi pada kubikel 20 kV. Salah satu fenomena tegangan tinggi adalah fenomena korona, yaitu fenomena yang terjadi ketika udara di sekitar konduktor atau pada konduktor terionisasi. Manfaat dari penelitian ini adalah mencegah kegagalan isolasi akibat korona yang dapat menyebabkan peralatan listrik rusak sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan PT. PLN. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental yang membandingkan teori yang kita ketahui dengan kondisi sebenarnya pada kubikel 20 kV. Hasil yang didapat untuk mendeteksi korona melalui rekaman gelombang suara dapat digunakan untuk mencegah kegagalan isolasi, ditandai dengan adanya bentuk gelombang suara yang semakin membesar saat terdengar desisan.

This study aims to detect the hissing sound produced by the high voltage phenomenon at cubicle 20 kV. One of the high voltage phenomena is the corona phenomenon, which is a phenomenon that occurs when air around a conductor or on conductor is ionized. The benefit of this research is to prevent the insulation failure from consequence of corona which can cause damaged electric equipment so that will improve the service quality of PT. PLN. The method used is an experimental method that compares the theory that we knew with the actual conditions at the cubicle 20 kV. The results obtained for detecting the corona through recorded sound waves can be used to prevent insulation failure, marked by the presence of a sound wave form that gets bigger when the hissing is heard.
