Abstract
Pressure Drop sangat diperlukan dalam perancangan sistem perpipaan gas supaya dapat
mengetahui bagaimana memahami dan meprediksi perilaku aliran fluida (gas) mengalir
pada pipa. Namun dengan adanya jenis belokan akan menyebabkan terjadinya aliran
turbulensi fluida yang mengakibatkan tegangan pada pipa tersebut. Stress Analysis
dilakukan untuk memastikan bahwa sistem perpipaan masih berada pada batas aman dan
kuat dalam menahan beban 1,5 kali beban tekanan operasional. Pressure Drop dapat
diketahui dengan metode matematik menggunakan “Darcy Formula” dan metode
(computer aided engineering (CAE), sedangkan nilai stress analysis kombinasi (Von
Mises) dan deflection didapatkan dengan bantuan software Solidworks. Dari hasil analisa
menunjukan bahwa nilai pressure drop sudah memenuhi acceptant criteria < 0,5 bar.
Besar nilai stress analysis yang terjadi berdasarkan ASTM A106 GR.B masih dalam batas
aman yaitu dengan tegangan von-mises kurang dari 240 Mpa untuk jaringan pipa gas di
PT. PLN Nusantara Power UP Muara Karang Blok 2.
Pressure Drop is needed in the design of gas piping systems in order to know how to
understand and predict the behaviour of fluid (gas) flow flowing in the pipe. However,
the type of turn will cause fluid turbulence flow which results in stress on the pipe. Stress Analysis is carried out to ensure that the piping system is still within safe limits and is strong enough to withstand a load of 1.5 times the operational pressure load. Pressure drop can be known by mathematical methods using "Darcy Formula" and methods (computer aided engineering (CAE), while the value of combined stress analysis (Von Mises) and deflection is obtained with the help of Solidworks software. The analysis shows that the pressure drop value meets the acceptant criteria <0.5 bar. The value of stress analysis that occurs based on ASTM A106 GR.B is still within safe limits, namely with von-mises stress less than 240 Mpa for the gas pipeline network at PT PLN Nusantara Power UP Muara Karang Block 2.
