Abstract

Pulau Sumba dipilih sebagai Ikon Pulau Energi Terbarukan karena Pulau Sumba kaya akanpotensi energi terbarukan, dan direncanakan untuk membangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) Hybrid dengan program Renewable Energy for Electrification Programme (REEP). Maka perlu dilakukan studi kelayakan dari sistem PLTS nya agar dapat diketahui potensi energi di PulauSumba tersebut. Studi kelayakan dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan software HOMER. Dari hasil simulasi HOMER didapatkan potensi yang bisa terpasang dengan menggunakan PLTS Teknologi Elektrolizer Fuelcell yaitu sebesar >30 MW. Dengan kapasitas PV 33 MWp. Pulau Sumba menjadi listrik stabil dengan output energi stabil pada 10 MW di siang hari dan 1,5 MW di malam hari. Pada siang hari, energi dari surya PV dengan kapasitas 33 MWp atau setara dengan 27 MWac daya AC akan mensupply daya listrik ke beban dengan daya konstan 10 MWac , sedangkan 17 MWac sisanya digunakan untuk memasok elektrolizer dan mengisi baterai.

Sumba Island is chosen as an iconic Renewable Energy Island. It stands to reason that Sumba Island keeps potential renewable energy abundantly. There is a plan to built the solar power plat hybrid through Renewable Energy for Electrification Program (REEP). Feasibility study has priority over exploration. It’s very important, because the capacity of potential solar power able-suistainable / to calculate accurately. Feasibility study can use HOMER, an appropriate software that will help counting and calculating HOMER will simulate, how much applied solar power be learned. HOMER’s software contains system called Electrolizer Fuelcell Technology that very applicable in solar power plant hybrid. the potential that can be installed using PLTS Fuelcell Electrolyzer Technology is >30 MW. With a PV capacity of 33 MWp. Sumba Island has stable electricity with stable energy output at 10 MW during the day and 1.5 MW at night. During the day, energy from solar PV with a capacity of 33 MWp or equivalent to 27 MWac of AC power will supply electrical power to the load with a constant power of 10 MWac, while the remaining 17 MWac is used to supply the electrolyzer and charge the battery.
