Pembangkit listrik tenaga surya merupakan pembangkit energi terbarukan dengan sumber energi utamanya berasal dari pancaran sinar dan panas matahari. Salah satu permasalahan pada penelitian ini mengenai Biaya pokok produksi (BPP) antara PLTS dan PLTD yang ada di Pulau Kodingareng belum seimbang, dimana BPP PLTD lebih tinggi dibandingan dengan PLTS. Sehingga perlu diadakan analisis biaya pokok produksi yang ada di Pulau Kodingareng. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Analisis dimana data-data yang dihasilkan dihasilkan dari pengambilan data tentang maintenance, operation dan material akan diolah dan dihitung sehingga biaya pokok produksi dari di Pulau Kodingareng bisa didapatkan. Dimana biaya pokok produksi PLTS yang didapatkan yaitu Rp. 1.257,58/kWh sedangkan PLTD sebesar Rp. 1809,382. Dari hasil perhitungan perbandingan antara biaya pokok PLTS dan PLTD didapatkan bahwa biaya pokok PLTS lebih murah dibandingkan dengan biaya pokok produksi PLTD dikarenakan pembangkit yang menggunakan bahan bakar minyak lebih mahal dibandingkan dengan pembangkit EBT yang menggunakan cahaya matahari sebagai sumber energi utamanya.

Solar power plants are renewable energy plants with the main energy source coming from the radiance of sunlight and solar heat. One of the problems in this study regarding the cost of goods produced (CGP) between solar power plants (PLTS) and pltd on Kodingareng Island has not been balanced, where the BPP of PLTD is higher than that of solar power plants. So it is necessary to conduct an analysis of the cost of production on Kodingareng Island. In this study using the Analysis Method where the data generated from taking data on maintenance, operation and materials will be processed and calculated so that the cost of production from on Kodingareng Island can be obtained. Where the cost of solar power plant production obtained is Rp. 1,257.58 / kWh while the PLTD is Rp. 1809,382. From the results of the calculation of the comparison between the cost of solar power plants and pltd, it is found that the cost of solar power plants is cheaper than the cost of electricity production because plants that use fuel oil are more expensive than NRE plants that use sunlight as their main energy source.
