Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi di Indonesia berkembang begitu cepatnya, dengan melihat kemajuan teknologi yang sangat besar maka harus diiringi dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, di Institut Teknologi PLN mayoritas mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Elektro belum memahami mengenai programmable logic controller (PLC). Maka dari itu peneliti membuat topik penelitian berupa perancangan dan pembangunan trainer kit yang memiliki manfaat sebagai media pembelajaran, dan menghasilkan mahasiswa atau sumber daya masyarakat yang mengerti dan paham mengenai PLC melalui trainer kit yang dibuat. Komponen pada trainer kit PLC ini menggunakan PLC tipe OMRON CP1e E30, kemudian Panel box/Panel control, kontaktor, saklar selektor, lampu indikator, inverter, MCB, Power supply, thermal overload relay, push button, dan motor listrik 3 fasa. Perancangan dan pembangunan trainer kit programmable logic controller (PLC) menggunakan metodologi eksperimental dimana pada alat ini akan dirancang sesuai desain sistem yang berguna untuk berbagai kebutuhan. Untuk pengujian pada trainer kit programmable logic controller (PLC) yang di rancang, di buat 3 jenis program yaitu sistem DOL (direct on line), kemudian sistem Star – Delta , dan Reverse – Forward. Hasil dari pengujian, alat ini terbukti handal melihat keselarasan antara input yang diberikan pada program dengan output pada trainer kit programmable logic controller (PLC).
Technological developments in Indonesia are developing so fast, by looking at the enormous technological progress it must be accompanied by scientific developments, at the PLN Institute of Technology the majority of students of the Electrical Engineering Study Program do not understand the programmable logic controller (PLC). Therefore, the researcher makes a research topic in the form of designing and building a trainer kit that has benefits as a learning medium, and produces students or community resources who understand and understand PLC through the trainer kit that is made. The components in this PLC trainer kit use PLC type OMRON CP1e E30, then Panel box / control panel, contactor, selector switch, indicator light, inverter, MCB, Power supply, thermal overload relay, push button, and 3 phase electric motor. The design and construction of a programmable logic controller (PLC) trainer kit uses an experimental methodology where this tool will be designed according to system designs that are useful for various needs. For testing the designed programmable logic controller (PLC) trainer kit, 3 types of programs were made, namely the DOL (direct on line) system, then the Star – Delta system, and the Reverse – Forward. The results of the test show that this tool is proven to be reliable in seeing the harmony between the input given to the program and the output on the programmable logic controller (PLC) trainer kit.
