With the current system, the diagnosis of depressive disorders is still less effective because of several factors, the manual system and the lack of experts are 2 of them. The purpose of this study is to create an expert system for diagnosing depressive disorders based on android with the certainty factor method that can be used by the general public to diagnose depression disorders early and effectively. Knowledge base in the form of 21 symptoms of depression and 7 statements for each symptom point can be selected by the user obtained through interviews and literature studies. The 4 categories of diagnoses, namely, not depression, depression, moderate depression and severe depression were obtained through the calculation of certainty factor. The system is tested by comparing the results of the application with the current method, based on the 10 samples tested the system reaches an accuracy rate of 90 percent.

Dengan sistem yang berjalan saat ini, diagnosa gangguan depresi masih kurang efektif karena beberapa faktor, sistem yang manual dan kurangnya jumlah pakar adalah 2 diantaranya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat suatu sistem pakar diagnosa gangguan depresi berbasis android dengan metode certainty factor yang dapat digunakan masyarakat umum untuk mendiagnosa gangguan depresi secara dini dan efektif. Basis pengetahuan berupa 21 gejala depresi dan 7 pernyataan untuk masing-masing poin gejala dapat dipilih oleh user didapat melalui wawancara dan studi literatur. 4 kategori hasil diagnosa yaitu, tidak depresi, depresi, depresi sedang dan depresi berat didapat melalui perhitungan certainty factor. Sistem diuji dengan membandingkan hasil dari aplikasi dengan metode yang digunakan saat ini, berdasarkan 10 sampel yang diuji sistem mencapai tingkat akurasi 90 persen.
