Guna kualitas sarana dan prasarana dalam sektor pertanian maka perlu dilakukan pembangunan dan rehabilitasi pada jaringan irigasi, Dalam upaya meningkatkan efisiensi dan kinerja sistem irigasi, Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR) telah meluncurkan proyek rehabilitasi di daerah irigasi berskala besar. Proyek yang melibatkan modernisasi jaringan irigasi Rentang ini dilaksanakan oleh kontraktor terkemuka PT Hutama Karya dengan dukungan konsultan proyek dari PT Nippon Koei. Langkah ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi produktivitas pertanian dan keberlanjutan pengelolaan sumber daya air di daerah tersebut. Dengan total harga proyek senilai 250 M. Progres pekerjaannya sudah mencapai 26.05%, dan ditargetkan akan selesai di awal tahun 2026. untuk merealisasikan target perencanaan tersebut perlu dilakukan penerapan manajemen waktu dan biaya sehingga dapat dilakukan pengendalian untuk mengetahui kinerja proyek. Dalam mengukur dan mengevaluasi kinerja proyek, salah satu metode yang efektif adalah metode Nilai Hasil (Earned Value). Metode ini melibatkan integrasi biaya, jadwal, dan kinerja pekerjaan untuk memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif tentang kemajuan proyek. Dengan cara ini, manajer proyek dapat secara sistematis menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan sumber daya, merencanakan lebih lanjut, dan mengidentifikasi potensi risiko atau kendala yang mungkin timbul selama pelaksanaan proyek. Temuan dari tinjauan yang dilakukan antara minggu ke 35 dan 44 menunjukkan bahwa biaya pelaksanaan proyek tidak melebihi anggaran yang telah diestimasi sebelumnya. Nilai Cost Performance Index (CPI) sebesar 1,002 dan nilai Schedule Performance Index (SPI) sebesar 1,280 ditemukan pada tahap tinjauan terakhir, atau minggu ke-44. Angka SPI lebih dari 1 (1,280) menyiratkan percepatan 5,7% dari jadwal yang diantisipasi sebelumnya, sementara nilai CPI lebih dari 1 menunjukkan bahwa proyek beroperasi sesuai atau di bawah anggaran.
