Abstract
Energi listrik merupakan produk dan sarana kehidupan sehari-hari serta mempunyai peranan penting dalam mencapai tujuan pembangunan masyarakat modern. Oleh karena itu, sistem tenaga listrik yang andal adalah jaringan listrik terpadu yang mencakup pusat pembangkitan serta jaringan transmisi dan distribusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh thermal pada material isolator polimer silicon rubber berbahan pengisi fly ash batu bara terhadap kekuatan tarik dan elongasi, serta untuk membandingkan hasil kekuatan tarik dan elongasi dari setiap sampel material tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknologi dan Peralatan Tegangan Tinggi Institut Teknologi PLN dan untuk membuat material isolator yang akan digunakan serta tempat pengujian tarik dan elongasi dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Material Teknik & Metalurgi Institut Teknologi PLN. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa temperature sangat mempengaruhi kekuatan uji tarik dan elongasi material isolator polimer silicon rubber, dengan penurunan nilai saat temperature dinaikkan dari 35 °C hingga 50 °C. Nilai kekuatan tarik terbaik diperoleh pada FA SBI 10% (1,54 MPa), FA PSC 30% (1,26 MPa), FA PPP 10% (1,40 MPa), dan FA PSB 10% (1,34 MPa). Sedangkan elongasi terbaik tercatat pada FA SBI 20% (6,82%), FA PSC 20% (5,71%), FA PPP 20% (6,50%), dan FA PSB 10% (4,43%).
Electrical energy is a product and a means of daily life, playing a crucial role in achieving the goals of modern society's development. Therefore, a reliable power system is an integrated electrical network that includes power generation centers as well as transmission and distribution networks. This study aims to determine the thermal effects on the tensile strength and elongation of silicon rubber polymer insulator materials filled with coal fly ash and to compare the tensile strength and elongation results of each material sample. The research was conducted at the High Voltage Technology and Equipment Laboratory of the PLN Institute of Technology, and the creation of the insulator material to be used as well as the tensile and elongation testing was carried out at the Materials Engineering & Metallurgy Laboratory of the PLN Institute of Technology. The study shows that temperature significantly affects the tensile strength and elongation of silicon rubber polymer insulator materials, with a decrease in values when the temperature is raised from 35 °C to 50 °C. The best tensile strength values were obtained from FA SBI 10% (1.54 MPa), FA PSC 30% (1.26 MPa), FA PPP 10% (1.40 MPa), and FA PSB 10% (1.34 MPa). Meanwhile, the best elongation values were recorded for FA SBI 20% (6.82%), FA PSC 20% (5.71%), FA PPP 20% (6.50%), and FA PSB 10% (4.43%).
