Abstract

PLTU Tarahan menggunakan batu bara sebagai bahan bakarnya, penggunaan batu bara harus digunakan seefisiensi mungkin dikarenakan batu bara merupakan sumber daya alam yang tidak dapat diperbarui. Dengan menganalisa energi dan eksergi, bisa dimanfaatkan untuk melakukan peningkatan terhadap efisiensitas pemanfaatan bahan bakar pada komponen PLTU Tarahan. Beban yang diberikan pada PLTU selalu berubah dengan perubahan pembebanan efisiensi energi dan eksergi dapat berubah. Semakin tinggi beban semakin besar efisiensi energi dan efisiensi eksergi yang dihasilkan. Metode analisis yang digunakan merupakan analisis regresi dimana variable bebasnya adalah perubahan pembebanan pada turbin uap dan variable terikatnya adalah efisiensi energi dan eksergi turbin uap. Dari hasil studi pada beban 75% efisiensi energi pada High Pressure Turbine 81.52%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 74.62%, Low Pressure Turbine 70.61%. Ketika beban 100% efisiensi energi High Pressure Turbine 87.52%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 84.48%, Low Pressure Turbine 71.27%. Pada beban 75% efisiensi eksergi pada High Pressure Turbine 80.71%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 72.05%, Low Pressure Turbine 66.07%. Ketika beban 100% High Pressure Turbine 86.65%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 81.93%, Low Pressure Turbine 66.92%. Dari hasil studi pada beban 100% memiiki efisiensi energi dan eksergi yang lebih baik dibandingkan pada beban 75%

Tarahan PLTU uses coal as its fuel, the use of coal must be used as efficiently as possible because coal is a non-renewable natural resource. By analyzing energy and exergy, it can be used to increase the efficiency of fuel utilization in Tarahan PLTU components. The load given to the PLTU always changes with changes in loading energy efficiency and exergy can change. The higher the load the greater the energy efficiency and exergy efficiency produced. The analysis method used is regression analysis where the independent variable is the change in loading on the steam turbine and the dependent variable is the energy efficiency and exergy of the steam turbine. From the study results at 75% load the energy efficiency of the High Pressure Turbine is 81.52%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 74.62%, Low Pressure Turbine 70.61%. When the load is 100% energy efficiency High Pressure Turbine 87.52%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 84.48%, Low Pressure Turbine 71.27%. At 75% load, the exergy efficiency of High Pressure Turbine is 80.71%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine is 72.05%, Low Pressure Turbine is 66.07%. When the load is 100% High Pressure Turbine 86.65%, Intermediate Pressure Turbine 81.93%, Low Pressure Turbine 66.92%. From the study results at 100% load has better energy and exergy efficiency than at 75% load.
