Abstract
Smart Grid telah berkembang menjadi topik diskusi dan penelitian terkini di berbagai belahan dunia, begitu juga menggunakan sistem smart meter. Industri tenaga listrik sedang dalam proses integrasi dengan sistem dua arah serta infrastruktur aliran daya yang biasa diklaim smart grid. Dalam istilah umum, Smart grid artinya integrasi Teknologi isu serta Jaringan Listrik. Advance metering infrastructure (AMI) merupakan komponen krusial asal smart grid dimana data serta frekuensi ditransfer dari smart meter konsumen ke smart grid serta sebaliknya. Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) merupakan sistem pengukuran canggih yang terintegrasi dengan jaringan listrik. PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Sumatera Utara menerapkan AMI untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan energi. Penelitian ini menganalisis implementasi AMI di PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi Sumatera Utara, meliputi aspek teknis dan ekonomi. Namun, implementasi AMI juga memiliki tantangan, seperti biaya investasi tinggi, keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, dan rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat.
Smart Grid has developed into a current topic of discussion and research in various parts of the world, as well as using smart meter systems. The power industry is in the process of integration with bidirectional systems and power flow infrastructure commonly claimed as smart grid. In general terms, Smart grid means the integration of Technology issues as well as Power Grids. Advance metering infrastructure (AMI) is a crucial component of smart grid origin where data and frequencies are transferred from consumer smart meters to smart grid and vice versa. Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is an advanced metering system that is integrated with the electricity network. PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Distribution Unit implements AMI to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in energy management. This research analyses the implementation of AMI at PT PLN (Persero) North Sumatra Distribution Main Unit, including technical and economic aspects. However, AMI implementation also has challenges, such as high investment costs, limited human resources, and low public awareness.
