Abstract

Suatu saluran transmisi tenaga listrik tidak luput dari gangguan, pada tanggal 10 Januari 2023 penghantar 2 transmisi GI Siantan – GI Tayan mengalami trip gangguan karena pohon pukul 09:36. Fault Locator TWS memprediksi gangguan pada jarak 56,24 km dari GI Siantan, sementara Fault Locator Rele Jarak memprediksi 53,1 km. Selisih prediksi jarak antar fault locator 10 tower transmisi yang letaknya jauh di dalam hutan. Penentuan titik sumber gangguan pada saluran transmisi menjadi hal yang penting karena panjangnya saluran transmisi. Efektivitas keputusan yang dibuat untuk melakukan tindak lanjut sangat bergantung dari keakuratan dari penunjukkan titik gangguan oleh Fault Locator. Fault Locator memiliki 2 metode kerja, yaitu berdasarkan impedansi gangguan dan gelombang berjalan. Metode impedansi gangguan dipakai oleh rele jarak, sementara gelombang berjalan dipakai oleh fault locator TWS (Travelling Wave System). Penelitian ini menganalisa berbagai data pendukung yang didapatkan dari PT. PLN (PERSERO) untuk mengetahui pengaturan rele jarak dalam menentukan titik gangguan serta mengetahui kinerja Travelling Wave System dalam menentukan titik gangguan. Setting pada rele jarak yang tidak tepat akan mengakibatkan rele jarak gagal bekerja sesuai dengan zona nya. Dalam penelitian ini rele jarak bekerja sesuai dengan standard SPLN No. 0520-2K./DIR Tahun 2014 tetapi Rele jarak dalam menentukan titik gangguan berdasarkan jarak aktual dilapangan memiliki kesalahan pembacaan paling kecil adalah 4,45% dan yang tertinggi adalah 7,23% sementara untuk TWS didapatkan data bahwa pada sampel 8 gangguan, error TWS paling kecil adalah 0,26% dan tertinggi 2,57%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, kinerja travelling wave System dalam menentukan titik gangguan lebih akurat dibanding rele jarak.

An electric power transmission line is not free from interference. On January 10, 2023, Overhead Line Transmission No. 2 of GI Siantan to GI Tayan tripped due to a tree disruption at 09:36. The TWS Fault Locator predicts the fault point at a distance of 56.24 km from GI Siantan, while the Distance Rele Fault Locator predicts 53.1 km from GI Siantan. The difference in measurements between these fault locators is 10 transmission towers located deep in the forest. Determining the fault point on a transmission line is important because of the length of the transmission line. The effectiveness of decisions made to carry out follow-up actions depends greatly on the accuracy of the fault point designation made by the fault locator. The fault locator has two working methods: based on fault impedance and traveling waves. The fault impedance method is used by the distance relay, while the traveling wave is used by the TWS (Traveling Wave System) fault locator. This research analyzes various supporting data obtained from PT. PLN (PERSERO) to find out the distance relay settings in determining the fault point and to know the performance of the traveling wave System in determining the fault point. If the setting of the distance relay was incorrect, the distance relay would fail to work according to its zone. In this research, the distance relay works in accordance with SPLN standard No. 0520-2K/DIR 2014, but the distance relay in determining the fault point based on the actual distance in the field had the smallest reading error of 4.45% and the highest was 7.23%, while for TWS data, it was obtained that in a sample of 8 fault points, the TWS error was the smallest at 0.26% and the highest at 2.57%. Based on these results, the performance of traveling wave Systems in determining fault points is more accurate than distance relays.
