Pada Biro Multimedia Divisi Humas polri bertugas memantau setiap konten yang ada di media jejaring sosial dimana terdapat berita hoax atau provokatif. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menampung laporan berita hoax dari masyarakat agar dapat membantu biro multimedia dalam memantau konten berita hoax atau provokatif yang ada di media sosial yang kemudian akan ditangani oleh Biro Multimedia dengan mencari kebenaran berita tersebut. Metode yang diterapkan untuk membangun sistem ini adalah text mining, TF-IDF dan Vector Space Model (VSM). Text mining untuk melakukan preprocessing data, dimana data laporan yang akan di proses adalah kalimat laporan berita sedangkan TF-IDF Vector Space Model untuk melakukan pengklasifikasi kategori hoax atau bukan hoax. Penulisan ini menggunakan model pengembangan perangkat lunak Waterfall. Fase yang dimiliki oleh Waterfall adalah fase analisis, fase perancangan, fase pengkodean, fase pengujian dan fase evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan alternative untuk menentukan kategori laporan berita termasuk hoax atau bukan hoax.

At the Biro Multimedia Divisi Humas Polri is tasked with monitoring every content on social networking media where there is hoax or provocative news. This research aims to accommodate hoax news reports from the public in order to assist multimedia bureaus in monitoring hoax or provocative news content available on social media which will then be handled by the Biro Multimedia by searching for the truth of the news. The method applied to build this system is text mining, TF-IDF and Vector Space Model (VSM). Text mining to do preprocessing data, where the report data to be processed is the news report sentence while the TF-IDF Vector Space Model is to dot he category classifier hoax or not hoax. This writing uses the Waterfall software development model. The phase that is owned by Waterfall is the analysis phase, the design phase, the coding phase, the testing phase and the evaluation phase. The results of this research provide an alternative to determine the category of news reports including hoaxes or not hoaxes.
