Kebutuhan transportasi semakin lama semakin meningkat. Seiring bertumbuhnya kebutuhan transportasi, akan semakin banyak juga jumlah transportasi yang ada di suatu negara, baik transportasi darat, laut, dan udara. Jika transportasi semakin banyak, maka akan semakin banyak pula resiko kecelakaan yang akan terjadi yang di akibatkan oleh beberapa hal mulai dari human eror, mengantuk, dan lain sebagainya. Menurut Badan Pusat Statistik, jumlah kecelakaan di Indonesia tertinggi ada pada kota Jakarta Timur. Pada Tahun 2020 sudah ada 1456 kejadian. Tujuan untuk melakukan penelitian di Kota Jakarta Timur kali ini adalah untuk mengetahui biaya satuan korban yang di akibatkan oleh kecelakaan, serta mengetahui jumlah besaran biaya korban kecelakaan per tahunnya. Untuk waktu penelitian adalah 5 tahun terakhir dimulai dari Tahun 2017 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Metode yang di gunakan yaitu dengan metode Gross Output yaitu metode perhitungan biaya kecelakaan suatu kerugian atau korban dalam dua kategori, yaitu biaya yang di akibatkan atas hilangnya sumber daya pada saat terjadi kecelakaan (Direct Cost) dan biaya yang di akibatkan atas hilangnya pendapatan pada masa yang akan dating (Indirect Cost). setelah dilalukan perngolahan data, dapat di ketahui untuk estimasi besaran biaya korban kecelakaan pada tahun 2017 sebesar Rp. 8.832.985.950,- /tahun, pada Tahun 2018 sebesar Rp. 9.348.389.804,- /tahun, pada Tahun 2019 sebesar Rp. 9.011.133.897,- /tahun, pada Tahun 2020 sebesar Rp. 12.072.189.290,-/tahun, dan pada Tahun 2021 sebesar Rp.18.271.067.371,-/tahun. Sedangkan untuk jumlah biaya korban kecelakaan lalulintas pada Kota Jakarta Timur mulai dari Tahun 2017 sampai dengan tahun 2021 adalah sebesar Rp. 4.379.062.344,-. Jumlah tersebut didapat dari total keseluruhan biaya perawatan seluruh korban kecelakaan lalulintas yang di rawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Budhi Asih, baik korban meninggal, luka ringan, maupun luka berat.
