College libraries not only provide books but also provide seating facilities for students reading books. High and large bookshelves make it difficult for students to pick up a book that is very far away and cannot be reached by him. In this study a tool has been produced to retrieve books that are inaccessible to students. The method used is the Prototype method to find out that this tool has been able to move well and can be used by students. The Prototype method is to determine the use and benefits of students who want to take books in difficult to reach positions. The device is ordered by the Keypad and the Stepper Motor will move which is given a power supply from the Power Supply. The final result of this study is a Prototype of Book Taking Tool Using Arduino Mega-Based Robot Arm.

Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi tidak hanya menyediakan buku tapi juga menyediakan fasilitas tempat duduk untuk mahasiswa membaca buku. Rak buku yang tinggi dan besar membuat mahasiswa kesulitan untuk mengambil sebuah buku yang sangat jauh dan tidak bisa dijangkau olehnya. Pada penelitian ini telah dihasilkan sebuah alat untuk mengambil buku yang jaraknya tidak dapat dijangkau oleh mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Prototipe untuk mengetahui alat ini berhasil bergerak dengan bagus dan dapat digunakan oleh mahasiswa. Metode Prototipe adalah untuk mengetahui pemakaian dan keuntungannya terhadap mahasiswa yang ingin mengambil buku pada posisi yang sulit dijangkau. Alat tersebut diperintahkan oleh Keypad dan Motor Stepper akan bergerak yang diberikan catu daya dari Power Supply. Hasil akhir penelitian ini merupakan sebuah Prototype Alat Pengambil Buku Menggunakan Arm Robot Berasis Arduino Mega.
