Abstract
Starting sebuah unit PLTG dimulai dengan memutar turbin gas. Setelah turbin gas berjalan normal dan memutar generator maka generator kemudian diparalel dengan system untuk dibebani. Untuk memutar turbin gas pada periode start diperlukan motor penggerak yang memutar poros turbin karena poros turbin menjad satu dengan poros generator. Dalam perkembangannya didapat cara-cara Starting dari turbin gas. Dimana pada PLTG Muara Tawar Blok 5 memanfaatkan generator sinkron untuk digunakan sebangai motor start. Metode start ini menggunakan Static Frequency Converter (SFC) yang merupakan suatu konverter thyristor yang terdiri dari Rectifier dan Inverter yang dihubungkan oleh rangkaian Direct Current Intermediate yang berfungsi sebangai Starting Device System yang dihubungkan langsung kebelitan stator generator guna untuk menyuntikkan frekuensi yang dapat diatur. Dan pada bagian belitan rotor disuntikkan arus searah yang berasal dari rectifier atau penguatan sendiri (eksitasi statik) yang seporos dengan rotor mesin sinkron.
Starting the gas power plant (PLTG) unit is started by turning the gas turbine. After the gas turbine generator was running normally and rotated the generator, then the generator was paralleled with the system to be loaded. To rotate the gas turbine at the start period was required the activator motor which rotated a turbine axis because the turbine axis was united with a generator’s axis. In its development, it was obtained the ways to start the gas turbine in which Muara Tawar 5 blocks utilized a synchronous generator for use as motors start. This starting method used Static Frequency Converters (SFC), a thyristor converter which consisted of rectifier and inverter connected by a direct current intermediate circuit which functioned as Starting Device System which was connected directly to the coil of generator stator to inject a frequency that can be set. In addition, on the winding rotor was injected direct current came from the rectifier or self strengthening (static excitation) which has the same axis with synchronous machine rotor.
