Pada sistem tenaga listrik, besar daya yang dibangkitkan harus seimbang dengan besar daya yang dibutuhkan pada sisi beban. Apabila tidak seimbang maka dapat terjadi penyimpangan frekuensi. Penyimpangan frekuensi dari nilai nominal harus selalu dalam batas toleransi yang diperbolehkan. Untuk itu mempertahankan frekuensi dalam batas toleransi yang diperbolehkan, penyediaan daya aktif dalam sistem harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan. Frekuensi adalah salah satu parameter yang menentukan kualitas daya dari sistem tenaga. Pada sistem frekuensi dapat dengan mudah berubah seiring dengan perubahan daya pada beban, hal ini memerlukan sistem kontrol pada unit pembangkit agar dapat mengatur perubahan frekuensi. Dalam skripsi ini dibahas bagaimana pengaruh perubahan beban terhadap frekuensi dan daya aktif pada generator. Dalam simulasi menggunakan simulink matlab 2012.

In the electric power system, the magnitude of the raised power must be balanced with the amount of power required on the load side. If not balanced then frequency deviation may occur. The frequency deviation from the nominal value should always be within the permissible tolerable range. In order to maintain the frequency within the allowed tolerable range, the provision of active power in the system must be tailored to the needs. Frequency is one of the parameters that determines the power quality of the power system. In the frequency system can easily change along with the power changes in the load, this requires the control system on the generating unit in order to adjust the frequency changes. In this thesis discussed how the influence of load changes to the frequency and active power on the generator. In simulation using matlab simulink 2012.
