PLTS adalah sistem pembangkit listrik yang mengubah energi matahari menjadi energi listrik melalui photovoltaik module. Saat ini sedang berkembang pesat teknologi PLTS yang dipasang diatas atap (Rooftop). Persoalan dari perencanaan PLTS adalah energi hanya dihasilkan disiang hari sehingga apabila akan dimanfaatkan dimalam hari diperlukan baterai. Sistem yang digunakan untuk Rumah tangga yaitu Solar Home System (SHS). Dalam proposal skripsi ini akan dibahas perencanaan PLTS untuk rumah tangga PLN dengan asumsi Pelanggan rumah tangga yang memasang PLTS hanya untuk keperluan rumah tangga mereka. Dalam proposal skripsi ini akan dibahas perencanaan PLTS pada pelanggan PLN yang dengan asumsi tersebut dan pada skripsi ini juga menghitung berapa lama pengembalian biaya dengan melihat investasi awal. Pelanggan tersebut apabila mempunyai Solar Home System bisa menggunakan energinya untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga tersebut. Untuk perencanaan PLTS rumah tangga biaya awalnya adalah sebesar Rp. 80.800.000 selama 25 tahun,dan perencanaan ini bersifat layak untuk dikembangkan dan pengembalian biaya awalnya membutuhkan waktu 8 Tahun 4 Bulan.

PLTS is a system of generating electricity into electrical energy through a photovoltaic module. Currently PLTS technology is developing rapidly which stands on the roof (Rooftop). The problem of PLTS planning is that energy is only in the daytime that will be used at night, a battery is needed. The system used for households is the Solar Home System (SHS). This proposal thesis will be used for PLTS for PLN households with the assumption that PLTS is only for their household needs. In this thesis proposal, measurements of PLTS will be made to PLN customers with these assumptions and also the cost of long hours. Customers who have a Home Solar System can use energy for these household needs. For planning PLTS, the narrated household is Rp. 80,800,000 for 25 years, and the cost needed to develop and the first capital return cost takes 8 years 4 months.
