Abstract
Peningkatan kepemilikan kendaraan berpengaruh terhadap beban lalu lintas, sehingga semakin banyak kendaraan maka beban yang dipikul oleh perkerasan jalan semakin berat dan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan struktur perkerasan jalan. Selain itu juga dari segi iklim, Indonesia merupakan negara yang tergolong dalam iklim tropis. Iklim sangat mempengaruhi kinerja perkerasan jalan. Seiring dengan peningkatan jumlah kendaraan, diperlukan struktur perkerasan jalan yang baik. Disisi lain melihat banyak material limbah yang dianggap berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai bahan aditif dan dapat meningkatkan stabilitas pada perkerasan lentur. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan crumb rubber dan filler bentonite pada campuran Lapisan AC–WC terhadap karakteristik marshall mengacu pada Spesifikasi Bina Marga 2018 divisi 6. Pada tahap awal pengujian didapat KAO sebesar 5,85%. Setelah mendapatkan nilai KAO selanjutnya pembuatan benda uji dengan penambahan variasi crumb rubber sebesar 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% dan 9% serta variasi serbuk bentonite sebesar 4% dan 6%. Setelah pembuatan benda uji dilakukan pengujian marshall dengan perendaman 30 menit dengan kadar optimum crumb rubber 5% dan serbuk bentonite 6% sebagai filler menghasilkan nilai stabilitas 1907,97 kg, kepadatan 2,278 gr/cc, VIM 3,928%, kelelehan 3,45 mm, VFB 76,513%, VMA 16,725%, MQ 553,68 kg/mm. Sehingga penambahan crumb rubber dan substitusi filler bentonite dapat meningkatkan nilai stabilitas pada perkerasan lentur AC–WC.
Increased vehicle ownership affects the traffic load, so the more vehicles the load is carried. The pavement is getting heavier and can cause damage to the pavement structure. In addition, from a climatic point of view, Indonesia is a country that belongs to a tropical climate. Climate is very influential pavement performance. Along with the increase in the number of vehicles, a good pavement structure is needed. On the other hand, there are many waste materials that are considered potential to be used as additives and can increase the stability of flexible pavements. This study was conducted to determine the effect of adding crumb rubber and filler to the AC–WC layer mixture on marshall characteristics referring to the 2018 Highways Specifications division 6. In the early stages of testing, the KAO was 5.85%. After getting the KAO value, then the test object was made with the addition of crumb rubber of 0%, 3%, 5%, 7% and 9% and variations of bentonite powder by 4% and 6%. After making the specimens, the marshall test was carried out by immersion for 30 minutes with the optimum content of crumb rubber and 6% bentonite powder as filler resulting in a stability value of 1907.97 kg, density of 2.278 gr/cc, VIM 3.928%, melting 3.45 mm, VFB 76.513%, VMA 16.725%, MQ 553.68 kg/mm. So that the addition of crumb rubber and substitution of filler can increase the stability value on AC–WC flexible pavement.
