Abstract
Keandalan dan effisiensi sebuah pembangkit sudah merupakan suatu hal yang menjadi prioritas dalam bisnis pembangkitan. Penggunaan dan pengembangan teknologi baru sangat diperlukan untuk menunjang peningkatan keandalan dan effisiensi. Salah satu teknologi untuk menaikkan effisiensi pembangkit adalah penggunaan Feed Water Heater. Adapun fungsi utama feed water heater adalah menaikkan plant efficiency dengan memanfaatkan extraction steam dari turbine untuk memanaskan feed water sebelum masuk boiler. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan ketika HP Heater 2 out of service yang cukup lama terhadap nilai nett plant heat rate dan fuel firing rate PLTU Labuan unit 2. Pada penelitian ini langkah pertama yang dilakukan adalah menghitung effisiensi boiler dengan metode tidak langsung dan menentukan nilai turbine heat rate, setelah itu data hasil perhitungan digunakan untuk menghitung net plant heat rate. Dari data perhitungan didapatkan nilai nett plant heat rate terjadi kenaikan 7%, kenaikan fuel firing rate sebesar 10 % serta total kerugian perusahaan selama high pressure heater 2 out service sebesar Rp 4.907.790.720. Maka dapat disimpulkan high pressure heater 2 out of service sangat merugikan, untuk itu perlu perhatian khusus agar selalu menjaga keandalan high pressure heater
The reliability and efficiency of a powerplant is a matter of priority in the generation business. The use and development of new technology is needed to support increased reliability and efficiency. One of the technologies to increase generator efficiency is the use of Feed Water Heaters. The main function of the feed water heater is to increase plant efficiency by utilizing extraction steam from the turbine to heat the feed water before entering the boiler. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact when the HP Heater 2 was out of service for a long time on the net plant heat rate and fuel firing rate of PLTU Labuan unit 2. In this study the first step taken was to calculate boiler efficiency using the indirect method. and determine the value of the turbine heat rate, after which the calculated data is used to calculate the net plant heat rate. From the calculation data, the value of the net plant heat rate before the HP heater 2 out of service is 2660 kCal/kWh and after the HP heater 2 out of service is 2846.43 kWh, the SFC values before and after the HP Heater 2 out service are 0.59 and 0.65 kg/kWh and there is an increase fuel operating costs of IDR 3,408,188, -/hour. So it can be concluded that the high pressure heater 2 out of service will affect the increase in the value of net plant heat rate and specific fuel consumption
