ABSTRAK
Sistem absensi pegawai pada PT. PLN Area Cengkareng pada saat ini menggunakan sistem finger print dimana pada sistem tersebut terdapat beberapa kendala seperti sidik jari pegawai yang terkadang sulit diidentifikasi oleh alat finger print, terjadi antrean absensi yang membuat terbuangnya waktu yang tidak sedikit, dan beberapa pegawai terkadang lupa untuk melakukan absensi. Oleh karena itu diperlukan aplikasi untuk memudahkan dalam pelaksanaan sistem absensi dengan hanya memasuki wilayah kantor PT. PLN Area Cengkareng maka pegawai dapat melakukan absensi masuk dan keluar. Aplikasi ini dibuat menggunakan metode geofencing dengan menggabungkan posisi pengguna beserta perimeter geofence pada area geografis yang nyata di dalam area PT. PLN Area Cengkareng, sehingga dapat mengetahui apakah pengguna berada di dalam atau di luar geofence atau bahkan jika pengguna keluar atau memasuki area tersebut. Dengan adanya sistem absensi pegawai PT. PLN Area Cengkareng berbasis mobile ini pegawai dapat dengan mudah melakukan absensi ketika masuk ataupun pulang dari kantor.

Currently, employee attendance system of PT. PLN Cengkareng Area uses fingerprint system where there are some obstacles in that system such as employee’ fingerprints which sometimes are difficult to identify by fingerprint machine, there is a queue to use the machine for attendance checking that wastes a lot of time, and some employees who sometimes forget to check the attendance. Therefore, an application to facilitate employee in checking the attendance by only entering office area of PT. PLN Cengkareng Area is required so that employees are able to check in and out attendance list. This application is made using geofencing method by combining user position and geofence perimeter in real geographical area inside the area of PT. PLN Cengkareng Area. Thus, it can find out whether the user is inside or outside of geofence or even if the user go outside or inside the area. With the presence of this Mobile-based employee attendance system of PT. PLN Cengkareng Area, employees can easily perform attendance checking when they are arrived at the office or leaving the office.
