Pelayanan informasi merupakan suatu hal yang perlu diperhatikan pada setiap instansi perusahaan, tidak terkecuali di Laboratorium ITCC STT-PLN. Dengan memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi, diharapkan dapat membantu proses pelayanan informasi kepada mahasiswa dengan cara siap memberikan respons atau jawaban dari pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh mahasiswa. Salah satu teknologi yang paling sering dimanfaatkan adalah teknologi internet yang dapat dengan mudah mengakses aplikasi Website. Pada Laboratorium ITCC STT-PLN belum menerapkan suatu sistem yang siap melakukan pelayanan informasi kepada mahasiswa selama 24 jam, untuk itu perlu adanya aplikasi yang dapat siap menjawab pertanyaan yang diajukan mahasiswa secara real-time menggunakan metode TF-IDF dan Vector Space Model (Cosine Similarity). TFIDF dan Vector Space Model (Cosine Similarity) dapat melakukan pembobotan jawaban yang sesuai dari pertanyaan yang diajukan mahasiswa. Dengan adanya proses tersebut diharapkan, mahasiswa dapat langsung menerima informasi dari jawaban yang dimunculkan berdasarkan pertanyaan yang mereka ajukan.

By utilizing technological developments, it is expected to help the information service process to students by being ready to provide responsses or answers the questions posed by students. One of the most frequently used technologies is internet technology that can easily access Website applications. At the ITCC STT-PLN Laboratory, there is have not applied, a system that ready to do information services to students for 24 hours , for this reason it is necessary to have an application that can be ready to answer questions posed by students in real-time using the TF-IDF and Vector Space Model (Cosine Similarity). With this process expected students can immediately receive information from the answer that displayed based on the question they ask.
