Laboratorium Open Source dan Laboratorium Dasar STT PLN Jakarta saat ini menggunakan sebuah aplikasi berbasis web yang bertujuan untuk membantu asisten dalam kegiatan perkuliah di lab. Masing-masing aplikasi tersebut dibuat secara terpisah sehingga beberapa data induk yang sama tidak bisa digunakan secara bersama-sama karena struktur database yang berbeda-beda. Melihat hal tersebut maka diperlukan pengintegrasian kedua aplikasi yang berbeda tersebut, sehingga dapat menyediakan informasi yang cepat, akurat, lengkap dan teritegrasi secara keseluruhan tanpa harus merubah sistem yang telah ada sebelumnya. Dalam hal ini peneliti mengusulkan sebuah perencanaan proses integrasi aplikasi lab dasar dan lab open source, dengan menggunakan teknologi web service. Dalam hal ini penulis memanfaatkan salah satu jenis web service yaitu Representational State Transfer (REST). REST bekerja berdasarkan resource untuk membuat sistem terdistribusi.

Open Source and Basic Laboratory in STT PLN Jakarta currently uses a webbased application that serves to assits in the activities of lecturus in the lab. each of these applications is created separately so that some of the same parent data can not be used together because of different database structures. Seeing this, needed further integration of the two applications of the different information so that it can provide a quick, accurate information, complete and integrated in its entirety without having change the existing system. In this study researchers proposes a process integration of Open Source and Basic
Laboratory’s applications by using web services technology. In this case the researchers using the Representational State Transfer (REST) in the process of the integration of information systems. REST works based on resources to create distributed systems. The result is, between the basic lab app an open source lab app is connected, and the two application can share data.
Hasil dari penerapan teknologi web service untuk aplikasi integrasi data pada laboratorium STT PLN yang diperoleh dengan melakukan pengujian pada masing-masing service yang tersedia dan pengujian pada aplikasi. Hasilnya
adalah, antara aplikasi lab dasar dan lab open source sudah terhubung, dan kedua aplikasi tersebut bisa saling berbagi data.
