Abstract

Generator merupakan peralatan yang berfungsi untuk mengubah energi mekanik menjadi energi listrik. Generator sebagai bagian paling hulu dalam sistem tenaga listrik perlu dipasang pengaman agar terlindungi dari kerusakan. Jika sampai terjadi kerusakan generator akan berpengaruh pada menurunya keandalan sistem sehingga mengganggu jalanya operasi sistem tenaga listrik, selain itu harga generator juga mahal. Kerusakan pada generator dapat timbul karena adanya hubung singkat (short-circuit) pada lilitan stator, beban lebih (overload),panas lebih (overheating) pada lilitan dan bearing, tegangan lebih (overvoltage) dan kecepatan lebih, kehilangan medan penguat (loss of field), daya balik (motoring), arus tidak seimbang (unbalance current) pada stator, Out of step. Skripsi ini akan membahas pengaman untuk gangguan hubung singkat 1 fasa ke tanah dan 3 fasa pada kumparan stator ( stator ground fault ). Untuk pengaman stator ground fault digunakan Rele Tegangan Lebih Urutan Nol (device 59GN), namun karena rele 59GN tidak bisa melindungi belitan stator 100% maka perlu adanya koordinasi dengan rele lain sehingga proteksinya semakin andal .

Generator is a device to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Generator as the most upstream part of the power system need to be installed to protect against damage. If the damage to the generator will affect the reliability of the system so that interfere with the operation of the electric power system, in addition to generator prices are also expensive. The damage of the generator may arise due to short-circuit on the stator winding, overload, overheating of windings and bearings, overvoltage and more speed ( loss of field ), Motoring, unbalance current on the stator, Out of step. This thesis will discuss safety for short circuit 1 phase to ground and 3 phase in stator winding (stator ground fault). For stator ground fault safety is used Zero-Rated Voltage Rele (59GN device), but because the 59GN release can not protect stator 100% winding it is necessary to coordinate with other releases so that the protection is more reliable.
