Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana keterkaitan suatu skripsi dengan visi misi Jurusan Teknik Informatika STT-PLN. Masalah yang terbentuk pada kasus ini adalah sebagian besar mahasiswa biasannya banyak yang kesulitan untuk menentukan judul atau ide skripsi dan apabila sudah memiliki judul tidak sedikit yang ditolak oleh dosen pembimbing dikarenakan berbagai faktor salah satunya adalah tidak sesuainya judul atau ide tersebut terhadap visi misi Jurusan Teknik Informatika. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengerjakan penelitian ini adalah metode vector space model yaitu metode untuk melihat tingkat kedekatan atau kesamaan similarity term dengan cara menghitung pembobotan term. Data yang digunakan adalah data skripsi mahasiswa yang sudah ada dan visi misi Jurusan Teknik Informatika STT-PLN, data yang diolah dari data skripsi tersebut adalah judul dan abstrak. Pada penelitian ini data diklasifiksikan menjadi dua class yaitu sesuai visi misi dan kurang sesuai visi misi. Dari pengujian sistem yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan 25 data skripsi yang dipilih secara random didapatkan hasil akurasi sebesar 96%. Diharapkan dengan adanya penelitian ini topik atau judul dari skripsi pada Jurusan Teknik Informatika STT-PLN dapat sesuai dengan visi misi yang ada dan juga dapat mengarahkan pembuatan topik dari skripsi tersebut.

This study discusses how the relation of a thesis with the vision of the department of engineering informatics STT-PLN. Problems that are formed in this case is most students biasannya many who find it difficult to determine the title or thesis idea and if it has a title that is not a bit rejected by supervisors due to various factors one of which is not matching the title or idea to the vision of the mission majoring in engineering informatics . The method used to work on this research is the vector space model method is a method to see the level of closeness or similarity term similarity by calculating the term weighting. The data used is the existing student's thesis data and the mission vision of the STT-PLN informatics engineering department, the data that is processed from the thesis data is the title and abstract. In this study the data is classified into two classes that fit the vision of the mission and less appropriate vision of the mission. From system testing conducted by using 25 data thesis selected by random obtained result of accuracy equal to 96%. It is expected that with this research the topic or title of the thesis in the department of informatics engineering STT-PLN can be in accordance with the existing mission vision and also can direct the making of the topic of the thesis.
