Abstract

Permasalahan overload pada transformator distribusi merupakan isu yang sering terjadi di sektor distribusi tenaga listrik, terutama pada kawasan padat konsumsi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis penyebab overload, mengevaluasi dampaknya terhadap performa transformator, serta mengkaji efektivitas metode pecah beban sebagai solusi teknis dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Objek penelitian adalah Gardu Distribusi B66C di wilayah kerja PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bandengan, Jakarta Utara. Data diperoleh melalui pengukuran arus dan tegangan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan redistribusi beban. Metode analisis melibatkan perhitungan arus penuh transformator, persentase pembebanan tiap fasa, serta rata-rata pembebanan. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dilakukan pecah beban, arus beban mencapai 1283 A (fasa R), 1144 A (fasa S), dan 921 A (fasa T), dengan rata-rata pembebanan sebesar 77,34%. Setelah pecah beban dilakukan, arus turun menjadi 1025 A, 952 A, dan 893 A secara berurutan, dengan ratarata pembebanan menurun menjadi 66,30%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa metode pecah beban berhasil mengurangi tekanan pada transformator dan meningkatkan keandalan sistem distribusi. Strategi pembagian beban yang optimal juga dianalisis sebagai langkah pencegahan terjadinya overload berulang.

Overload problems in distribution transformers are common issues in the power distribution sector, especially in densely populated load areas. This study aims to analyze the causes of transformer overload, evaluate its impact on transformer performance, and assess the effectiveness of load shedding (pecah beban) as a technical solution to address the issue. The research object is the B66C Distribution Substation located in the operational area of PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Bandengan, North Jakarta. Data were obtained through measurements of current and voltage before and after the load redistribution. The analytical method includes calculations of the transformer’s full-load current, phase load percentages, and average loading level. The measurement results show that before the load shedding, the transformer load currents reached 1283 A (phase R), 1144 A (phase S), and 921 A (phase T), with an average load of 77.34%. After the redistribution, the currents decreased to 1025 A, 952 A, and 893 A respectively, reducing the average load to 66.30%. These findings demonstrate that the load shedding method effectively reduces operational stress on the transformer and enhances the reliability of the distribution system. An optimal load distribution strategy was also analyzed to prevent future occurrences of overload.
