Keandalan sistem distribusi listrik merupakan faktor penting dalam menjaga kontinuitas pasokan energi listrik kepada pelanggan. Pada jaringan Saluran Udara Tegangan Menengah (SUTM) Penyulang MLN03 ULP Malinau, salah satu tantangan utama adalah gangguan yang menyebabkan pemadaman listrik, baik yang bersifat sementara maupun permanen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan Fusesaver dibandingkan dengan Fuse Cut Out (FCO) dalam meningkatkan keandalan jaringan serta mengukur dampaknya terhadap indeks keandalan SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) dan SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data historis performa FCO sebelum pemasangan Fusesaver, kemudian membandingkannya dengan kinerja jaringan setelah Fusesaver dioperasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Fusesaver lebih efektif dalam menangani gangguan sementara dibandingkan dengan FCO. Dengan fitur autoreclosing, Fusesaver mampu mengisolasi gangguan tanpa menyebabkan pemadaman total dan mengurangi intervensi manual oleh teknisi. Setelah penerapan Fusesaver pada section FCO Masehi, terjadi penurunan nilai SAIDI dari 0,186 jam/pelanggan menjadi 0,004 jam/pelanggan, dan nilai SAIFI dari 0,448 kali/pelanggan menjadi 0,03 kali/pelanggan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Fusesaver secara signifikan meningkatkan keandalan sistem distribusi listrik dengan menghilangkan gangguan sementara yang sebelumnya memicu pemadaman total saat masih menggunakan FCO.

The reliability of the electrical distribution system is a crucial factor in maintaining the continuity of electricity supply to customers. In the Medium Voltage Overhead Line (SUTM) network of the MLN03 feeder at ULP Malinau, one of the main challenges is disturbances that cause power outages, both temporary and permanent. This study aims to analyze the use of Fusesaver compared to Fuse Cut Out (FCO) in improving network reliability and to measure its impact on the reliability indices SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index). The method used in this study is the analysis of historical data on FCO performance before the installation of Fusesaver, followed by a comparison with the network's performance after the Fusesaver was operated. The results show that the Fusesaver is more effective in handling temporary faults compared to the FCO. With its autoreclosing feature, the Fusesaver can isolate disturbances without causing a total outage and reduces the need for manual intervention by technicians. After the implementation of the Fusesaver on the FCO Masehi section, the SAIDI value decreased from 0.186 hours/customer to 0.004 hours/customer, and the SAIFI value decreased from 0.448 times/customer to 0.03 times/customer. This indicates that the Fusesaver significantly improves the reliability of the electrical distribution system by eliminating temporary disturbances that previously triggered full outages when using the FCO.
