In the development of the distribution network, especially in big cities with
high load density (greater than 50
), 150 kV line is often required in order
to support the electricity needs of the people of Indonesia. In the big cities such as
Jakarta, is very difficult to obtain government permission to build 150 kV overhead
lines. A line of 150 kV underground cables can deliver a power of about 80 MVA.
Underground cables with a voltage of 150 kV can be produced by the cable
industry in the country and is estimated for 10 years to come, Indonesia will
require 150 kV underground cables in large quantities (approximately 10 km / year
- 20 km / year). In this paper will study the issue of 150 kV underground cable
fabrication, and also will study the test in the laboratory. This discussion in
accordance with the method performed by one of the factories in Indonesia , with a
standard that refers to the IEC standard.
